20 Weeks, Halfway!

My mom came out to Denver and I had her take a few pictures of my halfway there belly. These were fun. It snowed on Sunday which was kind of cool. Here are a few of our favorites. We are both just so excited about this little baby boy.

My girls...Abby and Jenny, wondering what Mom is doing in the snow.

Already worried...

After reading Andrea's posts about going back to work, I am officially worried. I have worried all along about leaving this sweet baby and going back to work. Now hearing how hard it is for her and she is leaving Emma with my mom, NaNa, I am already sad.

We are looking and thinking about a nanny, but they are so expensive and I can't imagine leaving this baby in a daycare center. I am just not sure what to do ;-( Everyone keeps telling me to start looking now for a nanny, BUT I just heard of someone that had a nanny and she cancelled on her because she got another job before the baby was born. So that poor lady had to start all over. I don't have NaNa here to keep my baby. I guess that is the price I pay for living in such a great state, but being so far away from my mom. Although it would probably drive her crazy to have both babies anyway.

So...any advice is welcomed. I guess I will figure it out when time comes or sooner, but I sure do wish this was an easier choice.

Oh BOY!!!

Well, if you haven't heard by now, we are having a baby boy. When I first found out I was pregnant, I told my mom I thought it was a boy. I just had that feeling from the very start. Funny thing was, I didn't trust myself. So, I wouldn't tell anyone that I really thought it was a boy. I kept looking at boy clothes, boy bedding and we even picked a boy name really quickly. The girl stuff was always fun too, but I always thought about my sister's little girl Emma and not for my own baby. For me it was always boy.

Speaking of names... his name is Steven Connor Kellum. Steven is after my dad. Bless his heart, he has three daughters and a granddaughter, it was time for him to have a boy. We picked Connor really early and I don't even remember how it really came about. I think we were in San Fransisco when we thought about it because it was the time we started really thinking about having a baby and talking about names. Connor is an Irish name, so we will see if he comes out redheaded. It could happen. Connor also means "dog lover" which is his momma. We also liked the way that Connor Kellum sounded together. He could be a business man or a professional snowboarder (Joey says professional skier, but we will see).

Regardless we are so excited about our sweet baby boy. Mom came out to Denver and was supposed to be here for the ultrasound, but American Airlines had other plans and she didn't make it. But she was here to help me shop and register. That was a huge help. We bought so many clothes for Connor. He definitely has a good start on being the cutest boy on the block. I am just thankful that I didn't have to do the Three hour registering by myself or even with Joey. Yes, THREE hours. It was fun, but it was more fun with mom.

Now, I just have to focus on decorating his room, picking out more clothes and taking care of myself. I can't wait to meet him!!!
